Long shaft Seagulls
Hi all,
I am looking to get a spare Seagull that I can take as a back up should the need arise.
I have a Seagull silver Century 90 and would like something similar but a little lighter.
Any recommendations?
My boat is 14 ft long with a 6ft beam.
She sits high in the water so I need s long shaft.
I am not sure what models came with a long shaft option.
Thank you
Mark.

Hi Mark, as far as I’m aware all models except the 40 Featherweight came with an option of standard or long shaft. So a 40 Plus long shaft would probably be suitable for your boat they were recommended for 10 to 14 foot boats.
Sally Brown looks like a good boat to fish.

Show us your transom Mark & where your using it.
Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.

Thanks ship mates,
Yes, she’s a great little fishing boat stable and good in a swell...
The transom. (I was just re fitting the transom keel iron hence it’s hanging off!!! All done now.)

Ps my Seagull 90 is set up correctly at the right height... pushing her along nicely... so nice I almost fancied a trip to France across the channel on a good day!!!!
Re: Long shaft Seagulls
And two with my sons... you can see my Seagull less the recoil starter ( that I have sorted now thanks to this forum).. I use a bit of old carpet on the transom as you can see.
This was taken a few years ago with my old wooden stem that I changed last week. Also I had a little sea spray on the lens that distorts the photos a little.

Re: Long shaft Seagulls
Nice boat, I’d suggest a 102 or century plus.
Re: Long shaft Seagulls
Is that the beach between Dover and Deal? I’ve sailed along that coast a few times
