Well, nothing sinister at all really. I've had a real problem matching the paint on the Commando outboard. Approx eighty years of exposure to the elements affected the original paint/color so much it appeared brown, green or grey depending on the light that hit it. As I wanted to maintain its military heritage, I bought the shell case at an Army disposal store simply to match the color. Not original to the outboard I know, but still original military if you know what I mean.
It'll be back together within the next couple of weeks. Happy days

Tank, Flywheel and Tiller/Throttle are all done but are yet to be fitted.
