Hi All,
The plug cap is shot on my new EFNRL whats involved in replacing the perished and cracked rubber one, on the very thin plug lead.
Or do i have to change the lot as a complete piece?
I like this engine, i might need a short one too.

The engine has a mark 4 ignition system, flywheel has small groove near the bottom, as the pull Starter cannot be removed.

Re: New plug cap for CDI engine
It is not possible to replace the HT lead on the Wipac mk4 CDI but the plug cap can be replaced with any non resistor cap that will fit.
Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.
Re: New plug cap for CDI engine
Might be an idea to add a some heat shrink tubing to lead if you have removed the cap. Available at any Electrical wholesaler.

Thanks both of you,
Do you have any idea how to get the pull starter unit off.
The handbook shows two screws. I have two empty holes.
And the starter don't engage for the first foot of cord so something is amiss.

Hit under the raised edge where the 2 screws are located, ali on ali corrosion locks them solid.
This is the bit that comes off.

Yep, done, tapped it off as you said, nice ring of corrosion all the way around. Have replaced the rivets, with large pop rivets. there weren't any in it. And resembled the starter as per the picture in the service sheets. works a treat. I guess at some stage someone tried to fix the starter. But is done now so thanks all.
Plugs lead is done too. rubber one of an old english bike. thought that would be ok. then discovered villiers parts in UK has the genuine item for 3 pounds, oh well next time.
Hugz heat shrink got a go as well. should stop the water.
So all good.
