Hi Tam,
You certainly do find them! It appears to be in very good order.
It looks like a pre serial number 10000 FVP.
I would be interested in knowing the serial number.

I'd say that spanner was the most interesting item in that pic!
Tam if you know anyone who's a CAD draftsman who could do an accurate Autocad or Solid works DWG file of that, John could have some clones laser cut from stainless, could be a usefull extra, for anyone who own's one of the little 40 series Seagulls.

Charles,
In what way is that spanner so interesting?
Do you think it is contemporary with the FVP?
Does that design pre-date the usual smaller and symmetrical design of spanner?

I've only seen 1 like that before & that was with a very clean & what looked like low hours FV, when Charles & I were looking at the tank logos for Sharpy.
It would be a bit of a reach saying it pre-dated the symmetrical style, but 2 turning up with similar motors make that a possible, the years that the eared fuel cap was in use would point to the 50's, sorry not my area of expertise, mine is prewar & post 80's.
