wanted: alternator or alternator kit

i'm looking for an alternator or an alternator kit, new or used.

pretty sure they're all the same but specifically, i want to retro fit it to my 55 (EFPC46J7).

on the subject of the seagull alternator kit.

Can someone explain the half and full charge positions with the plug ? Or is it diferent voltage and current outputs, controled by the plug positioning.

i'm eyeing a espcl with atlernator, But owner has no info on alternator or how to set it up.

Instructions would be wonderfull.

I remember my father telling me one of the oyster farmers in the 60's had a bike dynamo on a bracket that ran on the flywheel, for his running lights.

Interesting

Looks like they were used on Norton Bikes as well as other British engines.

Just the centre magnet rotor needs to be different between application?

John is probably the man to talk to about these, as he normally carrys a stock of used ones, they are seldom fitted to 64 cc Seagulls as the power required overhead is quite significant on the smaller motors.
