Can anyone help me, I have an early 102 crankcase with play in the bushes. Where can I buy bushes for it and can anyone fit them, it's one job I've never done . Thanks Christian

I have replaced them in the past, normally found one from old parts, its always been the top one that needs replacing, saying that, I had to do a complete replacement on one old motor that had had both bushes replaced with home made bronze ones and I ended up having to replace the crank because of it.
They are normally pressed and reamed as a set from new.

Thanks for the info. Do you have a bearing press to remove them ? I know about heating them up to remove etc but I don't know what tool to use to push them out ..Regards Christian

I found a tool with some bushes at a flea market, it seems to work, made for the stepped top bush.

Christian if you search for info on this subject in the forum, you will gain a far better understanding of what you will need to be doing & the problems you will be facing, why not buy a new crankcase, they often cost less than a new set of main bearings.
