Just been tootling through our favourite auction site and came across lot 180106848570. (Sorry, can't do links yet!!) This seagull should keep the global warming lot happy!! Just think, no more calculating petrol/oil mixes. No more oily smoke. No more sweet music??

Hmm, yes. And what's more the owner attributes an actual cash value to it!
I really do have to chuckle at eBay, and to wonder at some of the folks who inhabit that wacky world. There's an Amal carb on there at the moment described as 'superb condition' - well it's worth a moment of your time to check it out just for a laugh.
And of course there are those who describe things as 'rare' and 'scarce' and 'sought after.
Caveat Emptor, I guess...

Thanks for the link, Katomi. I'll get the hang of links one day. Think I'll pass on the "environment friendly" Gull too!!

I'm ashamed to admit that the seller (crayford kent) lives only a couple of miles from the house I left fifty years ago. Surely not all of us living in the south were that mad!!!

I would class that as sacrilege

GaffRig - I assume you speak in jest!
Seagull never made that - it has to be the only possible way to make a Century heavier than the original. By the time you've added your battery...

saving-parts-of-old-seagulls gearbox top and bottom might go quite quick

Shame, I have been away from the forum for a bit, (leaving it in your capable hands!)
When I tried the link the converted gull had been removed!
Must pay more attention!
