LS first run , and correct prop....

Hello, Just made a first run with my revitalized LS. 2 year project. It has marginal compression, but it ran very well. I am pretty sure I do not have the correct prop. Can anyone post a LS prop picture? Does anyone have one to spare? even if I would need to have some weld repairs done... none on this side of the pond. THANKS< WB

This prop was used to the early models, the later models were fitted this prop

Which was stated that it gives 10% extra powers. I have one like this and if you like I can swap it with the one you have now.

It looks right, a four blade cloverleaf prop, gearbox may not be right though, Should the gearbox be screw fit and not clamped the same as the FV/FVP.
I have an LS but its missing that prop.

P.S. Very nice looking motor.

The prop in your photos is entirely correct for that motor. No LS ever left the factory with that five blade one, which is rather more common than the classic four blade clover leaf version on your motor!

The water pump housing on the later LS motors was a clench-bolt, so it was on the later LMs. As Keith says the one in my photo has the screw-in version.

The LS was a sort of bridge between the earlier FV/P and the SJP/M.

My 1953 LS has the same prop as yours it is the right one as far as I know. The gearbox on mine was clamped on and had the flat brass plug to check and fill level. Do I see a white plastic plug in yours?

Thank you all for your compliments. I am very relieved that this is the correct prop. I will polish it when I can . Yes early LS had screw in transmission tubes. This one had a clamp on. Also note the transmission on this one is a new Stainless steel tube, I made for it. I do have a brass fill plug on the gear box. Last thing I made was the "U" Bent copper fuel tube. It is Tin Plated , which I did as well. Now on to assembly of my FVP, this Fall. WB.

I am sorry, I thought your engine was an LLS (century). Your prop is the correct one as it has been said.
Nice little motor it is!!
