Saving Old Seagulls

Hi everyone,
I have a CPCL in my poccession and we are about to use it on a dinghy every now and then. I believe that this engine is to use 10:1 fuel / oil mix. I have only run this engine for a couple of minutes using 25:1 just to test it.
I believe that there is a kit to convert it from 10:1 to being 25:1 is this true?
If so how does it do what it claims and what is in the kit?
Where do I get a kit from here in Australia?

What year is your motor. You must find that out first before you go swapping needles.

Thanks for the replies. Our engine is a November 1963 so it should run 10:1. I intend to do this now using Valvoline TC-W3 2 stroke oil. I also have learnt that SAE 30 is acceptable but impossible to buy here where I live. I tried to get 20 litres of the stuff for a tractor gearbox and couldn't.
We live in Coopernook NSW near Taree and use the Manning and Lansdowne rivers all the time.

If you have problems to get straight-weight gearbox oil like SAE20/ 30/ 90, you can check the engine builders. Many old turning lathes and other maschines need that oil. And Ebay is your friend

Isn't SAE30 old fashioned engine oil?

Sae 30 is available from VW specialists, the old air cooled use it believe.

I mix all my petrol for seagulls 300ml oil to a gallon, approx 16:1, use it for all seagulls early to QB.

I got confused with so many different cans.

SAE 30 plain old fashioned like it was is available still.

Castrol 4T, I think it comes in 4 litres?

Failing that, go to a Brigs and Stratton dealer............their branded oil is the same
