wartime 102 SD.7921.L3

Does anyone know what SD stands for and L3 in the serial number ?
I know its dated between 1942-46 and the long number is the amount produced.
Does the L stand for longshaft ? and what does the 3 mean ?

I see that you included the "Dots" within the number.

I would like to know about the .L3 as well..............

These are the numbers I have on the "SD register" A bit of a mix. I wonder what L3 and P3 mean?

One of mine is SD125.P3 It is a long shaft copper top.
