Australian Britannia (Triton)

My Triton was hard to find, had it a while.

The only problem was the prop shaft and gearbox bushes, everything else very nice.

My Old Mate in Collie WA got hold of the gearbox and basically machined and fitted everything new for me.

The motor just needs a thread insert under the carby body and complete runner. Very Cool 8)

Below a couple of pics with one next to a Brit for comparison.

There is a pic of rebuilt gearbox/water pump assembly as well from just now.

The exploded pick is of stuffed parts to go by...............

I am going to give him my OA gearbox to refurb. If he can do an early Brit and a jobber for a Triton off the top of his head, he can sort gearbox for OA262.

I have shown him the detail parts dwrgs for it already. He has seen it in bits after I pulled it down. He has done one before as an apprentice in Pemberton.

Exciting.

Cheers

B

I'd be interested on his ideas on the OA box Bruce, we have 5 here that we're still arguing on the best way of doing it so that they look identical, I would be very interested on which ally mix he's thinking of using to get the colourmatch.
