it means for every 10 litres of petrol, one litre of oil. Divide it down and you get 1 litre of petrol per 100ml of oil, but it is traditionally written oil first, as 100ml to 1L
Hope it helps.
Cheers
Chris

I usually get my 2 stroke oil in bulk from a very friendly fellow who works part time next door to a large transport trucking firm.
So, it comes in 200 gallon cans.Very very cheap.
I take out , using an organic surgical mask and gloves and an enamel 1901 hospital urinal urn, about 35 ounces of the oil and carefully transfer it to a very clean baby feeder bottle, or anything else handy, then heat it to about 200 degrees, f or c, then put about 15 mil into one container and 19 in another and keep 1mil as a reminder.
I then tip the entire 34 mil . less wastage into another container and mix thoroughly with high octane fuel for at least 30 minutes.
Tip mixed fuel onto or into any nearby vehicle ensuring nothing gets onto your clothing.
I then give the missus a yell and tell her to get down to the shed and mix you up some outboard 2 stroke pronto and to bring the liquor keys down as well as my loving temperament is getting stretched and I always promise never to mix the whisky and local tawny port together which is sad really as its a wonderful drop.
I'm not one for taste but consider the after effects more important.
