Saving Old Seagulls

What's the stupidest thing any one of us has done? Mine was showing off my refurbushed Seagull to my son, starting it, and noticing, too late, that the mounting clamps were not fastened. Kerplunk. let out a S__TTTTT loud enough to be heard for miles, as my son, sensing my grief, tried not to guffaw, but kept his expression to a smug grin.
