how long is the longest run that has been done with your seagull in hours including refueling stops

Well if there's anyone who thinks their Seagull will run for 4 & a bit hours & will cover 21 miles without stopping why don't you join us on the Hayling Island Marathon in July.

And don't forget it's only half the distance of the around the island Bermuda race & just a quarter of the Waikato race.

Last year, I ran my little 40 for six hours, only stopping for the locks.
You don't except bathtubs at Hayling Island.

my longest is 12 hours with a silver century plus on the back of a 14' catboat in 25 to 30 knot winds, very rough and a bit scary but the motor never missed a beat and the boat dealt with the rough conditions no problems, the silver century did many other trips with the catboat
have done 6 hours about 4 times with a 102 and also a century and 5 hours with a 40 plus, plus lots of other shorter runs. all this on the back of a 12' lug rigged sailing boat going away on camping trips for 2 to 4days

The longest run I've done with Seagull was a Silver Century on my R19. The boat was a 665 Kilo Racer/Cruser, and myself and a chum took her from her berth around to Studland, mooched around a bit then returning around the back of the islands - maybe 20 miles in all. Some of that was against the tide, I have no idea how long it took. We refuelled twice.

The motor didn't miss beat. It now belongs to the electrician who does jobs for us occasionally.

A catboat is an 1800's american fishing boat design, very beamy gaff rigged with the mast right up the front,usually only a mainsail or cat rigged, it is designed for rough shallow waters and also to carry a load.

8Hrs for a silver Century full throttle pushing a 22Ft timber Yacht. refuled every hour when the engine ran out of fuel.

Just found the certificate

On the weekend of the 23rd of March 2008 it seems I did 88 miles in 3 hours 42 minutes at an average speed of 23.75 mph, using my 170 on the Waikato river in NZ.

Keith, we are talking about 40+/- class running in side the harbour.

It will be down to the mark at East Head, then up to the bridge and back to Itchenor.

We have a couple of takers already, you are welcome to have ago in your tub

I will look at Google Earth to see how far it is.

A bunch of us went across lake Wanaka & down down the Clutha River. Only took 4x days & 382Km.

I see the Ozzys are talking about dwarfing that with the Murray river. That's thousands of Km, not just hundreds
