Recently got my hands on a 1972 silver century plus, serial WSPCL I64F2. Unsure if that is correct as I think it has a Wipac mark 3 ignition and not the mark 2 as the serial identifier says (pic below, can anyone confirm?) Also came with a Siba recoil start.

Forgot to take any pictures before I started taking it apart but here are a few from early on (as i know we all love pictures) :D

Thats as far as i am on at the moment. Got new piston rings, gaskets etc all ready to go on, awaiting delivery of all of my stainless bolts to start building back up again

Here is the boat that i will be using the seagull on (pic took last year sporting another one of my century plus's).

It looks like a Wipac mk 3 to me.
Didn't the MK3 start getting used in the 70's

It is a Wipac Mk3, only used very late 70's to about 82, then they moved onto the brown Mk4 that must only be used with the grooved flywheel.

The Mk3 is reputed to be slightly less reliable than the brown Mk4, but I've never found a difference, if your's of either colour dies, don't bin it, they both can be refurbed on an exchange basis, talk to John.

Just unscrew it from the spark coil.
