Saving Old Seagulls

The Mid winter Cruise was postponed to coincide with the opening of the Portobello Jetty which is expected to be finished later Nov. The official opening has been pencilled in for Sunday 4th Dec. This will be a perfectly good excuse for a run to the pub for a bite to eat and drink.

Update

The wharf opening will be an informal affair on Sunday morning between 10 and 11 am. Shem may extend an invite to the paper to record the event. He also has a double ender he is restoring in a shed along at the Happy Hens shop, he is going to open up the shed for us to have a look along with a few photos of the old wharf etc. There’s no speeches or cutting of tape so you can make your way over at your leisure, ( try and make the 10 to 11am if possible though.) The forecast doesn’t look to flash at this early stage but its early days yet , keep the fingers crossed for a good day.
