Removal of stuck woodruff key

Replacing a crankshaft on an EFPC and of all things I can't seem to pop the woodruff key out of the slot. Remarkably stiff. Any good tricks to accomplish this would be appreciated.

1st thing, do not use a gripping tool on it as it will be rendered unservicible for later use.
Small screwdriver into slot, under key in crank slot. Give it a tap with a hammer into and under, it will move.
Same small driver then gently gently lever out of the keyway, you will see it moving/rotating outwards from that end that you are working on.
Gently gently, it will "Rotate Out"
