Would seagull engines benefit from a sacrificial anode ?

I did think that with all of the recent reports of badly corroded bolts, that a retro fit sacrificial anode may have some merit.
I realise that it would not reverse any existing corrosion, but if one has just spent many hours restoring a beloved seagull would it not be worth trying to stop additional corrosion.
It could be a simple bolt on to the skeg item.
I have a 4HP Merc that has a little zinc anode bolted to the gearbox casing, so Mercury must think is worth doing.
