Would like to thank people for the help while undertaking my first ever engine tinkering i did all that i was told concerning gear box disasembly, cleaned replaced fuel tank and fuel system new throttle cable reset the needle new plug ht lead and neumerous bits and bobs nothing major i admit. Then followed the engine start procedure and hey presto second pull and she fired into life and my bucket of water was empty :D having never attempted to fiddle with an engine before it was a proud moment for me made even better because my dad was visiting a retired engineering inspector and he was impressed with it all so thanks again guys :D just need to clean the patio now.

Just a note i did test the water way with a hose and it seemed clear but when running i had no cooling water flow i guess that was due to the poor water flow in a small bucket i only ran it for a minute or so.Also i have the throttle lever set so the engine cuts when it is fully closed is that ok?

Congratulations mate, sounds like you got it right. One small concern, you say you run it for a minute or so without water, be careful, guidlines say don't run it dry for more than 30 secs. We don't want all your good work wasted by one silly error.
Get a bigger bucket and try the waterflow, but well done so far.
