Throttle Cable termination problem

I am probably being very thick here, but I cannot see how I can swap over the throttle cable adjuster to my new cable I purchased from John last week for my Silver Century. :( :( The new cable does not come with an adjuster. I could desolder the lead bullet-end of the new cable and resolder when I have threaded the new cable through the adjuster. As my soldering iron is very low powered I was wandering what others may think? Have I got a wrong cable adjuster

The cable end should fit through the hole in the adjuster . Cut the old one off and clean the hole -- you could run a drill down just larger than the "bullet"

Thanks Skyetoyman. You kinda solved it. On trying to drill the adjuster out, I freed what was the outer cable sheath cap which had become embedded in the adjuster.

In my defence the state of the cable was pretty ropey, anyway that' s my story and I'm sticking to it :D :D
