I know it late in the day, but have been offered a CPC 1966, going for a look this weekend, do I need to look out for anything, other than the basics? You know ht lead in hand, tongue on the spark plug!
Thanks.

Well, lets see what your AU $33.12 got you then.
Pic please.
I hope you checked the Big End "Crotchy Notchet" first!

Well, I didn't feel happy about the price, so we agreed on £30--$49.76 AU, still very happy even though Its twice what I paid for the little one, just nice to have another gull and a new project.
Its a little bigger than my other one.

Had it running, and it pumps, it has carb problems, so will have a better go at it tomorrow.

Hey Pizey - you've got more than enough experience to know if you were buying a pup, and at that price you've got you money back is spares!

Did have it running today and after the smoke cleared all seems to be working well.
The original carb had some corrosion and pitting, so I ended up putting an old Ramsomes mower carb on, after changing the needle and jet over.
Well I do have some experience, but still had some lemons, the last Gull I got hold of looked like it was used as an anchor, seized solid and still is.
So if anyone need any Featherweight bits.
