Century 100 cooling ........

I've got a beaut of a 40+ that always runs without any overheating ........... but also I've got a Century 100 that seems to pump out the same amount of water as the 40+ when running but it runs very hot and eventually stops after 10 minutes or so.
I'm guessing it may be a cracked head or similar ?? But my question is this. The 40+ and the century have the same impellor size and probably the same volume of water pumping through. But the century must produce more heat being bigger capacity. So with the same amount of cooling as the 40+ is the century bound to run hotter ??
