I joined this forum tonight and thought I’d take a moment to introduce myself.

I live in Surrey BC (a few miles south east of Vancouver). The reason for joining this forum is my interest in British Seagull engines and machinery in general.

Since retiring I had intended to spend most of this summer out in my boat sailing the BC south coast and the Gulf Islands - that was before I remembered I’m the only person willing to work on my house for free - hence I’m landlocked for the rest of this season.

Cheers Colin.

Welcome Colin and hope you can balance the housework with sailing!

I live on the Hudson river in upstate NY on the East Coast of the US...between the home, a cottage, and my mothers house in Delmar I have the same problem finding that contractor to work on the houses for free...

I got into Seagulls 3 years ago and love tinkering on my flock of 5 now...

Hello Stephen.

Thanks for the welcome.

Upstate New York, now that's a place I've not been to for over thirty years. I used to go to the Thousand Islands back in the late 50's and early 60's. I recall some great boating and some wonderful wooden boats in those days. Not to mention some very expensive houses.

I only owned one Seagull and unfortunately it was stolen - some folks just have no class at all! I'm currently looking for another, but I like your idea of a flock of them - something I'll have to strive for. They will certainly become harder to find as time goes by.

Cheers Colin.
