Oh cummon, purchase an alternator?

Bite the bullet and buy a Tohatsu. I'll bet there's a Tohatsu Forum. Well probably not; they don't go wrong - do they?

ps I've got an Alternator from my 170. Stripped the engine to look like a standard conventional two leg.
Its all in a big box with the vast gearbox, huge prop, blue cowling, inertia starter. Ugh . . .

my local boat yard took on a Parsun dealership ..sold 3 ..all had problems .Two with running and one with corrosion . He will not sell or service them now and has gone to Tohatsu who by the way make all the small engines for the major makers ..if you check the bore stroke etc of different brands you will see which are re badged Tohastu and can save money by buying the cheapest on / deal /offer

Hmm, theses parsuns are meant to be as reliable as the jap units. But what do you expect, china made = DISASTER!

Thanks for your comment!
