Throttle cables

A tip for preserving throttle cables.........Most cables fail due to constant flexing at the points of exit ...ie. where the cable leaves the throttle lever and where it joins the carb. The casing fractures ...water gets in ...and the rest is history . When fitting a new cable , put some tight fitting rubber tube over the endsof the cable , overlapping on to the carb and throttle fittings ....2 inches at each end is about right.... preferably stuffed with waterproof grease.
