40plus carburettor - Gaskets?

Hi - guys. Firstly thanks for all the useful stuff on this website and the discussions, hopefully won't need to ask too many questions as a good trawl provides a wealth of helpful tips. I am about to give my donated seagull a once over before firing it up, but I can't find info on my query and would appreciate a confirmation from those who know a darn sight more than me!!

- Firstly the check: have I got a May 1971 40 plus standard shaft ? - stamp is FP 864 E1. I used the helpful ID pages to come up with it so just checking I got that right!

- Secondly the query - apart from a fairly stuck petrol cap, a bodged bike brake lever and very long throttle cable setup, and a less then expertly fitted HT lead there doesn't appear too much wrong with it. But I will be giving the carb a good clean. Having limited engine experience, only gained on single cylinder Honda 4 stroke motorbike engines, am I expecting lots of little o rings and gaskets around the carburettor that may need replacing? I would rather be prepped with replacements if I were to need them.

Thanks

You are going to be very disappointed then.

Couple of fibre washers on the fuel inlet banjo.

washer brass ?? fibre ?? under the head of the jet centrepiece.

Same as Villiers carbs used at one time on motor cycles!

Just the answer I wanted to hear, thanks Vic. And how I managed to miss that diagram on the website I don't know, I was sure I'd looked everywhere!
