scrapped WSPCL 1628 F9

Post by John1952 »

Is it ok for me to use the existing piston that I have with the scrapped WSPCL 1628 F9 which I spoke about in the General topics forum? which looks ok to my old eyes!!, no gouges or grooves that is.

Will it be ok to use that piston on the scraped one with the good block, or should I use the piston that was already in the block with a good water-flow.
Hope you understand what I mean.
Thank you,
John.

Use either of them if the little end, gudgeon pin, rings and body are in good nick.

Convention would say stick with the original piston and rings associated with a block particularly if the compression was ok.

Use the one wich involves the least strip down work?
