I have a century 100 which runs on 10 to 1, and a 40 + which has the no. 2 needle and runs at 25 to 1.

But uts easier just to mix my one container up at 10 to 1, so can i run the 40 + at 10 to 1 without changing needles ??

Well it might run if you mess with the needle position but I wouldn't recommend it.

The problem is that a 10 to 1 mixture has far more oil in it ( Waggles, specialist subject the flaming obvious ) but that oil condenses out to lubricate the motor that will leave you with less petrol therefore the mixture will be much weaker than with a 25:1 mixture. It might run OK as 'gulls are not that sensitive but you might find it a lot harder to start and it might overheat a bit.

Changing needles is so easy and you would find a 10:1 needle easy to find I'd wager ( a call to John would no doubt see one winging its way to you ) so why take the risk?
