Thanks Charles UK I have no idea on the engine hours we usually were mobile by 9am started looking for a
campsite from 4pm some days they only stoped so I could check the gearbox oil. Our main motor did most
of the run only getting a rest when we were testing other motors or she had cried enough.
I think we bought 320 litres of fuel didn’t keep records so at 10-1 we used 32 litres of oil there was about
15 litres left when we pulled her out of the water.
Speed well that varied as we came down at the top we were running at 11-13 km/h when we started going
through the locks after Mildura the speed slowed to about 8 km/h the fastest speed we saw on the whole
trip was 23.4 km/h it was very strange we came around a bend then we noticed the trees seemed to be going
past quicker had enough time to turn on the sat nav. Along this stretch we never dropped below 20 km/h as
soon as we started to go around the next bend speed dropped instantly to 11-13 km/h, guess it was a
combination of current and wind very strange never happened again.
