HT lead was jammed in solid on the Century and the cap snapped off, guess the only way is going to slowly carefully drill the plastic out unless someone has a better idea that does not mean removing the flywheel?

It's hard to advise without seeing a picture of the offending Ht lead, but is there enough plastic left to drill a hole and sink a screw into it and then get a vice grips on the screw and give it a pull. It might be a quicker method than drilling it out and certainly a lot more satisfying if it finally releases it's grip. Just to make sure I'm picturing the problem right,is it this type of ht lead connection that you have?

Thanks Pat, yep, thats the type, I'm soaking some wd40 around it at the moment I was moving it up and down gently when there was a crack, the screw is still part of it and I'm hopeful, plastic seems pretty brittle but will also try the screw and pliers route

Thanks, Pat, managed to gently pry it out, notice that the contact from the Coil is completely clear of the hole unlike my other one, is that normal?

Good you got it out, I'm only new to seagulls myself so best to direct that question towards the experts. I can't really picture what you mean by your description alone, any pictures? It might help you get a better response to the question.

Cheers Pat
