Just taking Vance and Hines off........many reasons why as they are NOT what anyone wants for Engine management..You want pics of heat and flow restriction pics?
Thing is the bike, not that old, serviced recently Perth New Harley Dealer.........shows very poor if not total lack of any attention at all.
Basically":
No lubrication service first maint, Engine or primary drive.
No Electrical Check
No adjustment of Final Drive Belt attempted. It is bad........My own deflection tool from now on.
No check of wheel alignment attempted. Obvious.
No check as to cable and electrical routing through and around frame attempted. (Vance and Hines pipe install and an abortion replacement battery)
Left Rear Shock at Minimum Pre-load
Right Rear shock at maximum Pre-load
When Short Shots Fitted there was no clue as to which O2 sensor had the longest flex...............total rearrangement of wiring harness.....must have taken hours. (Fixed Now)
The bike needed a new battery installed BEFORE I GOT IT.......That is cool but who would get a 2014 verses 2013 build mixed up and completely make a nightmare? The battery is totally different as + and - are swapped for AU 2014 ADR.
See attached for that.................totally out there Aye. Passed the first service checks locally however...............Yep even a dealer stamp aye!
Once again.................MY bikes are MY bikes!
I have never let others look after my or My loved ones/mates Rides.......ever!
I feel better now.
Been around for far too many years Aye.

something like this needs your "personal touch" to make it yours.
I was just the same with my own sporty. Part of the deal was to get the first major service done by the dealer,stamp in the book too. From then on i could choose to keep up the dealer service or go it alone. I chose to go it alone, but still using OE parts.
Having spoken to other HD riders what they think of the dealer service, it's not all bad, but some of it is horrendously expensive for what is ACTUALLY done during a service.
Unusual to hear of "mix up's" in build dates, they dont normally change that much from year to year. Perhaps the apprentice got hold of your bike and forgot to get his work QC'd on sign off?
At least it's how you want it now.
Some people like quiet bikes, i like'em a bit louder, (my old gixxer is just the same) hence my approval of the V&H pipes. Up to you what you put back on as a replacement.
My sporty was a 2002 model, so didn't have any "restrictions" with engine management. Bigger carb, (slightly re-jetted) straight through pipes and a few other mods here and there made it go pretty good for an 883. (almost as quick as a 1200 sportser sport)
Apparently the "POWER COMMANDER" upgrade for the ecu is a good way of releasing a few horses on more modern HD's with fuel injection.
Following this thread with interest now
(almost makes me want to go to the local HD outlet and look at some)

Easy to fit and they work pretty good.
The fork brace is a useful addition too as it'll help to stiffen things up.

I know want you mean Jon there is always a project, mine now is the boat that needs much work and modification for the Bass strait.. I really want to make some improvements to the OA (Not mods) but time constraints......
