Know what you mean about the fuel pipe, that one will do for now. Original was clear plastic, but a polished copper one would be nice
Not sure if the early SJMs might have had a nickel plated one?

You have done a great job on this early Forty Minus. Lovely to see them in this condition. The brass finish exhaust tube looks the part.
The tank especially looks truly excellent. I expect that you have learnt a great deal in doing this. If you want to use this new skill, I have tank or two which you could .......!!
My early Minus (SJM35) came with a 10" tiller. What is the length of yours (tiller)? It looks a bit longer - possibly 12"?
My tilting tiller FV had a 10", so it would not be surprising if Seagull continued with that length for a period.
While on the topic of tiller length. I think the usual central tiller FVs are 5". Are FVP longer?
Petrol pipes. My SJM came with a clear plastic pipe. I have no idea if this is correct.
Well done.

By coincidence I've just ordered a pipe bending tool, to make some SD copper and little 40 nickel pipes. I don't thing I could get the parts for £4.50 though.
Just got to get the end ferrules and nuts.

The Marston register has some fuel pipe ends but no nuts, we can't seem to find hex brass of a suitable size 39/64" to remanufacture some.
It's not cost effective to make them out of round bar.
Let me know what diameter fuel pipe your going to use & I'll see if we have any to suit.
John did ask me to work a price out to remanufacture the copper coolie hats but the cost of the material & the cost for using the press & tooling with the labour, made his sale price close to £25.00, with such a low demand & the lowest number that could be produced for that sort of money being 20+, it would take him nearly 4 years to break even, hence the lack of copper coolie hats on his stock list.
Though it might be possible if enough people were prepared to forward order.

I just did a quick look around some vintage car and motorcycle parts sites, nuts and ferrules can be bought, I will do a bit more digging and obtain some bits to play around with. A good project for a winters evening
