I remember when the Americas cup was in Perth Wa Australia. The team of the Kookaburra used to jump in the water and rub some sought of silicone down the sides of the hull to make it slide threw the water faster. Still didnt win them the race but it must of had some advantage, otherwise they would never of gone to so much trouble.

Not necessarily so bullet . if others thought the practice worked and could prove it they would use it and not just Americas cups boats either . There have been many surface treatments . they problem is ,the expense, the longevity , other side effects .
eg wipe on products , wear or wash off . surface textures are hard to replicate or integrate to a hull design . stick on systems can de-laminate , weigh more and are prone to clogging with contaminates . So as I said ,I'm just going with a highly polished surface . :D

Yep was there for all of it.

Mates and I had a rental shared City Beach. 8 Bedrooms three stories and one Mutha of a Pooooooooollll!!!!!

Not specifically for the cup stuff............we just lived there etc?

Tits and bums with large amounts of Piss was all good!

Two Monaros and three Chargers in the front yard.......large yard facing onto Westcoast Highway.

I had a HT Holden Wagon......Celica steel case five speed, 454 Chev twin four barrell with A/C!

We watched it all happen on TV!

Yah.... did have a split windscreen kombi previously, 6 volt. I kept blowing motors :( Lead foot hippies and hot weather arn't kind to dak daks.

Just,The other photos show you that just about everywhere you look you can the the river floor and the water inst very clear either.
