"stoked" - adjective - to be "stoked" is to be completely and intensely enthusiastic, exhilirated, or excited about something. those who are stoked all of the time know this; being stoked is the epitome of all being. when one is stoked, there is no limit to what one can do.

also, "stoke" - verb - one can "stoke" oneself out by facing challenges or by revving up an engine within oneself to accomplish that which one desires.

*being too stoked just means that you're still not stoked enough*
"Man oh man am i stoked for our upcoming snowboarding trip!"

"Perchance you'd like to stoke yourself out and ask that girl out!"

Great stuff I enjoyed reading this over breakfast this morning in chilly Tassie. Both my AD's are in the UK so couldn't pop out and check their correctness. that will have to wait till May!

That I like... well done. Be nice printed on some glossy paper.

Found a company that will rewire my coils for $165au in Bendigo. Save on international postage and have the correct core rod 8) Their website has a nice olde worlde charm: http://antiqueautoelectrics.com.au/Coil_Rewinding.php

I found a spare JM coil

G'day Hugo, I recently met a guy from Cookamidgera NSW who specialises in repair and restoration of older magnetos. I reckon he had over 300 on display at the recent Ballarat swap.

Anyway, suggest you give him a call. If he can't rewind coils himself, I'm sure he will know of someone not to far from you who can.

Thanks for that. He gave me the name of Jack Ussher of Grafton NSW 0418254746. I spoke to him and he quoted $165 and I need to give him the backing plate so he can match up a condensor to it. Why he needs backing plate I don't know. Maybe he puts it all together and tries different condensors to get the juiciest spark. If that is the case I like the idea.

Sorta makes sense, as when I was a young sparky I used travel around the outback fixing diesel gen sets for the PMG and replacing the vacuum tubes (sunvics?) It was trial and error and had to use a few new tubes before one would work with the best parameters. Considering coils are a bit of a variable statement this too maybe the case. He is an oldtimer and maybe one of the last.... I better get onto it before he croaks.

Still a bit on the steep side considering what's involved. They use to rewind coils (for switchgear components) at my old, was very simple, very cheap and very fast. Can't see why these cost so much! Anyway, you have another contact now, so mission accomplished on my part.

Thanks you Oyster. Just finished reading the guide and think it's a great document/resource.

Wish there was one like it for every seagull model.
