Never mind the engine - when's the tertiary girlfriend due to show up, and how can you leave Kangaroos with circles of skin missing? Rick.

I think the roos will be more worried about what I keep my shear springs in!

As for the tertiary.... it's the weekend, seagull time and a rest for me.

Took her out for a couple hours and she ran beautifully. The only trouble being I didn't get around to making those roo washers particulary the one before the nut holding the fuel bowl on and, you guessed it, the bowl dropped off never to be seen again and we bopped around Sydney Harbour. Quickly I threw a towel over her (cannot bring seagulls into disrepute even if was totally my fault) and rowed to nearest jetty. Deflated boat, caught a taxi and basked in another delightful day. Growing rather fond of this little gull. She has moved up a few notches in the pecking order.

Cheers Hugo.

The photo proves one thing. You can get a good cooling water flow when run in a bin. It looks as though the prop is in place too and the water pump is not very deeply submerged either.

You must now get a proper Seagull plug cap, or is that going to be a kangaroo's scrotum as well.

Yep, got one of those caps, black bakelite with a bakelite knurled nob.

She is the coolest running gull I've got. The water expelled was the same temperature as in the pond.

Cheers Hugo.

Popped into the local mower place and picked up an old villiers carby for next to nothing and now have a bowl and float again..... Came with washers too... The roos have a reprieve for now!
