The Ebay one would appear to be made for a later model Seagull, but not much later.

Whereas Tam's seems only to have holes suitable for early little model 40s.

Can you see anything on Tam's that doesn't cover the little 40s Jeremy?

I think perhaps Charles that the odd shaped SEA GULL one is interesting after all, because the second largest hexagons fits (sort of, but quite loosely) the chrome on brass flywheel nut on the early 40s. Whereas the symmetrical one has a hexagon which fits the later and larger chrome on steel flywheel nut. (Was this steel nut introduced mid way through the SJM/SJP production and before the squat large hexagon chrome on brass one?)
This would imply that the odd shaped one was introduced first. This is a bit tenuous as the hexagons on the odd shaped one, fit on the early 40s, just the flywheel nut, the spark plug, the carb bowl nut and the fuel cap. The 0.73 A/F hexagon, present on both tools, doesn't seem to fit anything on the early 40s that I can see. Perhaps that hexagon fits something on the 102s?

What is very noticeable comparing these two tools is that the quality of the odd shaped one, at least the one that I have got, is quite poor, and doesn't bear comparison with the nicely produced symmetrical one.
