Any particular reason you do not have the water outlet connected to the fitting on the exhaust tube?

That was a previous owner, who had the 102 left like that Phil, I can't imagine why he didn't bother connecting it up. I can only assume that he bought it like that and wasn't aware that it was supposed to be connected up to the exhaust. We have it connected up properly now. The other 102 that I bought had a similar problem with a lack of water pipe connection to the exhaust, but it was missing the compression fitting to connect it up, so I've since had one delivered from John @ SOS and it is on the list of jobs to do.
This is the link to previous discussion on the matter of the water flow pipe.

Thought perhaps it was a photo from before you started work on it. Thanks for the link.

If you are happy with the bits installed?
Run as normal any how you want.
Rings only "Seat" under load.
Whatever it is jetted for mix as required.
Whatever you have done..................it is not a factory engine now.
Relax

Thanks Collector Inspector, I'll bear that in mind when it comes to starting them up. Definitely seems to be the back of the boat being the best place to run them in.
