They say it's all the rage
Maybe I'll look into a metal cutting blade for my chop saw(Makita mitre saw)..I have a few options
My brother has a power hacksaw which is effectively the same unit as your jointers mitre saw

Haha!
I found some parts cheap for doing a conversion and having it reversible..hurrah! (in case I get a giant sailboat..dreaming!)
a drive tube ,a drive shaft, and a water pipe...just have to buy a piece of 3" aluminium or SS tube and I'm off....wheeee
reversible is good!
