More to the point is its antiquity...
Of the three items I am most fond of the spark plug.

Is the plug very similar to the one which came with my recent SD acquisition? Mine was missing that attractive screw top

Similar, but different make. The crew tops are available from Villiers Parts.
This one is a Lissen.

Astonishingly, the hat is now destined for the J. Barbour company up in the North East, wherer it was made.
I contacted the company with a photo to get a date, and they would rather like the thing for their collection.
Years spent trying to get a Seagull into a museum, then suddenly a hat generates interest!

OK here are another two items of Seagulliana (don't you just love the word?) that will be appearing..
Horsley-Anorak found the earlier clues far too easy. I will be astonished to the point of buying him a pint if he gets these right. So don't tell him, CharlesUK!

Charles L did not tell me last time.
Have no idea at the moment, will need to let the little grey cells have a go.
Is the weld mesh on the inside of your caravan windows, so nobody can nick your exibits?
Unusual to have SEA of seagull on a convex curve. Normally seen on a concave curve

Charles L did not tell me last time.
I know he didn't, and I wasn't suggesting he had - but he knows what they are!

Is that the plastic tank you are going to use to run the Seagulls in?

Like your thinking Phil could be a tank like one of these
No ideas about the SEA yet.

Time flies, and I have realised that I have not recently publicised this event.
Nobody got the last couple of photos, and would myou believe my camera has run out of battery and Current Primary Woman's daughter has been tidying up, which means the charger could be anywhere, spread across three houses. So more pix later, of at least two items which are exclusively Seagull and are rare as hens' teeth.
First weekend in August, so here in the South it will be fabulous weather. Our stand will be big, well populated with early Seagulls, and one of them will be started for the first time since 1952(ish) when it was retired after a longer period of service than most modern Mariners will deliver. I genuinely haven't tried to fire this one up, but I have made sure it has compression and a spark. That'll be fun.
Each year we try to bring more unusual stuff, and I think this year will be the best yet.
In the first post about the 2009 event I promised a young starlet, and you all thought I was joking. But I have engaged a charming young leading lady to be our assistant, she is genuinely gorgeous, has appeared on stage and on the BBC, and more importantly knows how to start a Seagull.
Andy is planning a bigger showing than ever, too, and we hope to see lots of you coming. I know that two of last years' visitors are planning to attend, and even CPW has taken a day off work.
Now where's that charger?...

Bak from France and I have now realised I have not come up with promised photos.
Sorry about that, I'll get onto it tomorrow after buying a new washing machine and plumbing it in.
If you're coming please PM me and I'll get directions to you li8ke last year.
