I think mine has also two positions on the needle. I think I have attached it on the upper one.
I love the 10600/145 turns!!!

Right at the start of the topic a pic of the gearbox cap showing bolts not screws. My SD and parts boxes all have bolts. Is this correct as in not machine screws?

Funny that I have never noticed. I was under some faint thort that they should be screws like more recent.

Definately bolts on the SD engines I have seen.

I am somewhat relieved with bolts.

Bolts will remain and this winter in the shed will be an Australian delivery SD project completed....................
