They are adds for Sea Gull outboards, not Seagull outboards, totally different. Cheers

Interesting. Yes you're right, but there is a connection. When Marston's sold the rights to the Bristol Power Boat Company in 1937, they called themselves 'British Segull'. At least one writer - Peter Hunn - has stated that this was to avoid confusion with the 'Sea Gull' range in the States. I prefer to think that Way Hope and Pinniger were simply patriotic souls!
