Hi, I’m new to the forum and thank you for accepting me. I have recently purchased a boat which sounds very similar to the boat described above by Bernie. It is 12’, aluminium and has an inboard BMB mariner motor mounted towards the bow driving a shaft which had a 10” feathering prop. Unfortunately the prop is missing. The boat also has the same front folding tiller arrangement. I’ve tried searching everywhere on the internet for information regarding the boat but cannot find even one picture. Can anyone point me in the right direction with regards to the boat and also where I might source a replacement propeller.
Thank you

Hi - could you post some pics of your boat and engine please? It would be great to see if there was another one like mine still in existence!!
I had my prop apart recently as I was finishing the rebuild so may be able to help with some details of how it works that might be of use.
I'm not sure if these were commercially made or more of a home made job - looking at mine some of the work seenms to suggest more of a DIY build.

Regards,
Bernie

Hi Bernie, attached are pics of the boat and motor. Any idea of who the boat manufacturer was?

Should have also added that there is the remains of a number, and name, just visible in the paint. Not sure where this was applicable to.

It's identical! Wow, so I had wondered if mine was a home made one-off but obviously not.
The number C379 looked like a Broads Aurhority number - and mine was last licensed in 1973 by the predecessor of the Broads Authority (Yarmouth Harbour Commisioners). I looked up you number in the Broads boats database and got a hit - not many details but here it is.

The prop arrangement is a bit complicated but I'd be happy to take mine apart and send you the details if you wanted to get one made up. Not sure if a new equivalent could be found today.

I'll PM you my email address.

Cheers,
Bernie

That’s fantastic. I’ll definitely take a look at that site. Do you have any pics of your boat?
