Wanted for a 1951 FV

Post by timberman2004 »

Hello 'Gullers

Anyone out there got, and is prepared to sell the proper transom bracket & clamp for a 1951 FV?

these are an interesting affair with an odd crankcase clamp under the engine supporting the tilt retaining hook

the Ba*&%$d I got it from just broke / cut off the clamp and supplied a more modern plastic capped bracket as you'd see on an '70s FP

look forward to hearing
Neal...errrr... an ON, OP, 2xSD, F, 3xSJP, LLS, 2xFV, FVP, FPC, CPC WPCL, WSC, and a few eggs hatching, hopefully

Hi Neal - can't help you with the ally bit that actually goes on the drive tube, but I do have a correct bronze transom clamp. Virtually the same as on a farty plus, but more delicate! Rick.

Neal, ring me after christmas.

I know I have one in 2 pieces that can be welded, but I'm pretty confident I can lay my hands on a complete one.
