Maiden Voyage
My seagull 40FPC, restored with help from John and a bolt on bracket from Charles managed its maiden voyage yesterday. 3 hours on the Paddington Branch of the Grand Union canal. Picture below of launch.
Re: Maiden Voyage
I have a v short video if anyone feels the need to hear a Seagull this morning.
I was surprised and pleased by how many smiles and waves and hellos we got from the canal users, maybe the smokeless oil helped, maybe its just that a Seagull reminds most boaters of our childhood.
But I cant post a video here, any tips?

Looks good, the older long range tank is good idea. To post the video, you will have to upload it to youtube, and then post the link here.

Here you go. I have installed two stainless jubilee clips round the upper exhaust holes and this seems to work just fine.....

Re: Maiden Voyage
Welcome to Gulling!
It sounds sweet as a nut. A job well done indeed.
What is the next one then?

Re: Maiden Voyage
Looks like you had fun snowric, what kind of boat are you using?
Re: Maiden Voyage
It's a 10ft dinghy made by Clovelley Boats in UK.
I have also designed a system to get the boat up on my Landy on my own too. Fun driving that lot around London !

Re: Maiden Voyage
I will take some and post during next voyage.
I fitted two large wooden cross members on the rack.
Then bolt on two 3.3m 4x2 with door stops (black rubber ones) to these cross members. They are bolted at the top and slope down to the ground.
Invert boat onto these and walk it up onto the rack.
Unbolt the 4x2 step on the boat and off you go !
