Any idea what this is??

Post by juncopartner »

Just got this given, seized solid and no spark. have now got it working OK though.

I think its a MAC, but theres not much information on the net. It has an air cooled 2 stroke motor, which I believe is Italian (Dellorto carb, Ducati ignition). Anybody know for sure?

I also need information on points gap, gearbox oil type, petrol/oil mix etc if anyone knows.

I think its also got a bit of a leak from the base gasket. I'm assuming I won't be able to get a spare, so I'll cut a gasket myself. Anyone know what thickness gasket to use, cos measuring the squish clearance will be a bit off a bugger as there isn't a separate cylinder head.

I'm tempted to say, no better not, it a Mac 3, I think its something like a flymo engine or some mower related engine.

Mac Siglan 3 ?

20:1 air cooled like tcw2.

Gear oil vis 90......SAE would be 30wt....not engine oil.

This will do well.
