Maybe less water was the problem when i did the test run. But when i saw the old impeller, i was happy to have the new one. 6mm difference between old and new one, that means 0,23622 inch...
A new throttle cable could e an option, maybe i`ll do that. Would look better, that`s right.

I don`t know, if it`s a good engine, but i think so. I drove it in the past and it was good running. The future will show
Here is a 13years old picture, which shows the seagull at a "Schratz- Jolle", a 21ft center board mahogany daysailer. We were sailing on the Weser... But sadly we/ i don`t own this boat anymore.

Today evenig i was in my workshop, and did a painting job. Two times of black painting, and today i put the decal onto. After dryinig it has become about 8 clear coatings, one compleat spray can. Maybee i went a little bit over the top... The more as i didn`t remove the bulges. But I love it, it`s to bad that i have to use it later. But my living room is to small

I have some new pics for you. I have almost finished my overhauling. Maybe there are some things i`ll have to do some day, but not yet The trottle cable or refresh the ignition and the carburator could be thinks, but this systems are actualy working good. And first the engine has to run a few times to motivate me...

The next time i`ll show you some pics or maybe a video of the test drive. But first it has to get warmer. Actualy we`ve about 0°C or sub-zero temperatures at the day, that`s sadly to cold to do a testrun...

It should run just fine at 0C, get the ice off your test bin or fill with a fresh batch of water. In Canada, we are happy to get 0C during the day in the winter so we can test our motors. Have fun! By the way it will start more easily if it has just come out of a heated building, say 15-20 C

It`s not perfect, but it looks good. I have two runs/ noses (i don`t know the englisch word) at the black color, but they are next to a bulge and the filler, so you doesn`t see them at a first look. And then, after put on the decal, there were 7-10 times of clear coating. I don`t know, 400ml of paint... And i dryed it with a heater between the coatings.
I used simple 1k car finish spray cans. I hope that i can trust in the producers word and its really absolute petrol steady

Hi guys I am wondering if this 18 mm pump impeller will fit a 40 plus shaft ??? If the out side diameter is to big I can turn it down on a lathe min is 3 mm shorter than the housing i would like to fill the housing . Would you be able to tell me what this impeller fits and what the size of the square hole is ??? Thanks VIC

Hello everybody,

I think i have to tell you what happens after the recovery of the engine. It stood in my workshop. I didn`t found a good boat for using the Seagull. Until this summer. We got a "Schottel Schaluppe", a 3,5m log steel rescue boat, build in the 60`s at the river Rhein in germany. I welded it only for this summer, the next time it will get a sandbalsting job and a compleat new bottom.

The Seagull first didn`t want to run very fine, it was standing about 10-15 years, but after a few minutes it runed great. And with every minute it was running better. Now we are using the Seagull maybe 1-5h per week. You can see it at the tank, the new paint is sadly a little bit scrached at one edge. But i think, thats ok, because its a engine for using...













So, that it ist. The pictures have been taken a few weeks ago, as the "Staatsrat Lehmkuhl" visited the "Großherzogin Elisabeth" at her 100."birthday" in our hometown.
