Gearbox screws

Post by livewire »

Hi,

I just had to split a gearbox as the engine wasn't pumping water. Both screws sheared off.

Does anyone have spare gearbox screws or know the thread for me to search the internet for replacments?

1/4 BSF. Plenty of these available. I have used custom fasteners or Wye Valley Supplies in the past.

You may have to drill out the remains and fit a helicoil.

That's great, thank you very much.

Loads on ebay including stainless for around £3 for ten. :D

I have added "Wye Valley Supplies" to my list.

Thanks for that
