Re: 2cylinder seagull?
Isbthis Britannia an attractive engine? Worthy maybe?
And are spares still available?

Re: 2cylinder seagull?
Your right Keith. Well spotted.
It is one of the earlier Britannia engines 1930s era. My slightly later one has a Villiers coolie hat magneto, is this one wico? Quite nice and interesting, but not hugely in demand, which I find quite odd. No spares available, unless a donor engine can be found.
RickUK mentioned on another thread that some of these had a tiller that went right through for reversing, this looks like that model.
If it was in the UK and not so far away....
Worth keeping and cherishing in my opinion.

Looks a little different.

Re: 2cylinder seagull?
Yep, I think it is one of the original Britannia twins, the silencer is on the back and is water cooled on the engines I have. I assume this one is the same? The whole rotates 360 degrees. I like them! I'd be interested, but I have a similar one. A bit too far away for me.
South of Watford to the Netherlands is not far

Re: 2cylinder seagull?
Thank you all for helping me identifying the engine.
Now it appears they have a seagull to, but that is a century (W6 2533C9 of 1969), to be sold for EUR 75,=.
I will visit these people and think I will buy them both.
And of course I will send pictures.
Thanks again.

Re: 2cylinder seagull?
Seems reasonable to me. The Britannia is worth having in a collection, but not particularly valuable. Just nice to own.
Re: 2cylinder seagull?
well, we focus on seagull just for the hobby.
I can give you contactmail if you are interested.
the seagull is a century W6 2533C9 for Eur 75,=
The Britannia ( if it appears to be one) also for Eur 75,=.
If the Britannia needs spares we have a problem so we rejected.
