Now that i have two blocks to play with i am going to rebuild two silver century's.
One is a lovely short shaft with clutch WSC 1324BB8.
Why has it got a silver hammerite flywheel? The bottom edge of the flywheel also has a line running around it about 5/32" above the bottom.
I always thought that silver flywheel = Villiers ignition and gold flywheels = Wipac ignition.

Not the best quality photos, but they show the original silver paint and flywheel rim.

Re: Flywheel colour
The line running around it is normally for a MK4 wipac ignition, as it looks like you have.
From what I have seen the later painted flywheels will suffer more from corrosion if not painted, seen silver as will as gold ones.
