Back flush it with garden hose. Sounds as tho there is some crud in the water system. Also try it with the prop off (don't over rev.) Enough water in the bin?

As mentioned several other places on this site, when running in a bin, the prop turbulence can cause intermittant or zero water flow. Remove the prop and try it.

I can't really see what effect that will have on salty rust deposits.

Hi all,
well all i can say is the engine was not pumping water with prop on or off, so turned the engine upside down and pumped GT85 into the water outlet hole and lefe it over nite, then did a back flush re try it in the bin with the prop on and water was being pumped, so took the boat out today was running for over 1.5 hours with no probs, was i just lucky!! or did the GT85 do the job remember this engine has been in the shed for years now it running like a dream!! thanks monty
